FAQ
How often should I change the water?
The MyoFreeze and MyoIce require water changes every 7 - 10 days depending on usage. This can be extended with the use of epsom salts if required.
Will I be able to fit?
The MyoIce is suitable for athletes up to 6’9 and is 25% larger than any other portable ice bath on the market.
The MyoFreeze is suitable to athletes of any size and comfortably fits 2 people.
How often should I ice bath?
All studies show that in order to get the physical and mental benefits of ice baths then you need getting into your ice bath at least 3 - 5 times per week.
How cold does the water need to be?
The simple answer to this is to aim to get the water below 15 degrees celsius as that is where the benefits are.
In most countries, cold tap water is around 10-12 degrees celsius so it is cold enough to be effective.
Adding ice to this or using a water chiller will further reduce the temperature by 3-7 degrees depending on your tolerance to the cold.
How hard is it to maintain
Other than having to change the water and give the inside a scrub every several days, the MyoIce and MyoFreeze are designed to be totally hassle free.
When will I start noticing the benefits?
